Roller coaster thrills to celebrate Jubilee
The Magical World of Fantasy Island in Skegness is constructing the world's longest suspended roller coaster to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The multi-million pound Jubilee Odyssey has been commissioned and financed by John Woodward, chairman of Blue Anchor Leisure Ltd, which runs the Lincolnshire visitor attraction. 'We looked at many ways to mark the occasion and finally decided on the Jubilee Odyssey coaster, which in our opinion will appeal to the modern generation. The structure will be inspirational, having a visual and lasting impact on millions of tourists.'
The Jubilee Odyssey is due to open on May 24.
