Roy Davies joins The Vineyard Hotel and Spa
The Vineyard Hotel and Spa in Cape Town, South Africa, has appointed Roy Davies as its general manager.
Davies had a varied career within the South African hospitality industry – he joined The Bay Hotel, also situated in Cape Town, as the assistant general manager in 1989, before being promoted to general manager in 1994.
He left South Africa in 1999 to co-found a software development company and move to the UK, but his appointment at The Vineyard marks his return to the South African hospitality industry.
The 173-bedroom Vineyard Hotel and Angsana Spa is situated in six acres of landscaped parkland in the Cape Town suburb of Newlands on the banks of the Liesbeeck River.
The hotel also has a fitness centre, the fine dining Au Jardin restaurant and extensive conference amenities. Details: www.vineyard.co.za
