Russell resigns as Glamorgan CCC chair
Glamorgan County Cricket Club (GCCC) has revealed that chair Paul Russell has stepped down as chair due to ill health, with Barry O'Brien to take over in an interim capacity.
Nigel Roberts, who had been initially named as chair-elect earlier this year, will continue in his role as deputy chair due to continuing business commitments. Meanwhile, Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones has reportedly backed GCCC's efforts to secure an Ashes Test match between England and Australia in 2013.
A club delegation is to visit Lord's tomorrow to make its final submission to the England and Wales Cricket Board, according to the Western Mail.
