The field of longevity needs, more than ever, to cut through the noise and reinforce its scientific foundation, moving away from quick fixes

Spanish preventative health operator, SHA, has formed its Global Scientific Advisory Board, comprising experts from around the world who will guide the evolution of the SHA Method for health optimisation.

The company sees the creation of this board as a way to evolve the brand from a collection of health destinations to a globally recognised institutional authority in proactive health.

The board will work alongside the clinical teams at its two existing locations in Spain and Mexico. The new experts will provide strategic direction, protocol validation and innovation across key areas of health and performance.

The inaugural members of the board include:

• Dr Jessica Shepherd, women’s health and hormone optimisation

• Dr Darshan Shah, preventive and longevity medicine

• Prof Emiliano Santarnecchi, neuroscience and cognitive performance

• Christian Drapeau, stem cell science and regeneration

• Dr Guillermo Torre-Amione, cardiovascular and academic medicine

Alejandro Bataller, managing partner of SHA and AB Living Group, said: “The field of longevity needs, more than ever, to cut through the noise and reinforce its scientific foundation, moving away from quick fixes. The launch of our Scientific Advisory Board is a decisive step in consolidating SHA as the world’s most results-driven, science-backed method to achieve and maintain lasting health.”

Tecnológico de Monterrey

The formation of the Global Scientific Advisory Board follows SHA’s recent partnership with the private research university TecSalud del Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico.

The medical department of this institution will reinforce research, validate findings and contribute to innovations across SHA programmes.

SHA is also already partnered with the University of Alicante in Spain, contributing to scientific research and academic exchange to develop advanced health programmes.

Last year, SHA partnered with wearable data tracking company Whoop to help provide high-achieving guests reach their full mental and physical potential with real-time biofeedback.

Locations

SHA has two existing luxury medical wellness locations: SHA Spain in El Abir, Alicante, and SHA Mexico in Costa Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

A third location is due to open in 2027, called SHA Emirates, in Aljurf, UAE.
