Stevenage Leisure Limited (SLL) was a winner at the 2012 Herts Chamber of Commerce and Industry 'Inspiring Hertfordshire' Business Awards, recently held in Hatfield.
After being shortlisted as finalists in two awards: Social Enterprise of the Year and Excellence in People Development, both against strong competition, SLL was recognised as the Social Enterprise for the Year.
The award was received by SLL's Chairman Roger Gochin and Regional Contract Manager Lee Medlock from Cllr Sharon Taylor, Leader of Stevenage Borough Council.
The judges were particularly impressed with the company's work with disadvantaged young people.
