Safe cycling initiative for Southwark Council
Southwark Council has launched a £1m construction project to deliver new, safer cycling and walking routes across the east and west of the borough.
The Southwark Connect 2 project will provide a number of improvements and has been designed to encourage people to get more active by walking and cycling.
In partnership with Sustrans, the Southwark Connect 2 project is being delivered by the council and is part funded by a £600,000 Big Lottery Funding grant.
Contractors FM Conway and Nusteel Structures Limited have been appointed to undertake the works.
