Sale of Coral Eurobet
Morgan Grenfell Private Equity is to sell Coral Eurobet, the UK's third largest off course bookmaker, to Charterhouse Development Capital in a deal worth £860m.
Vaughn Ashdown who succeeds Bob Scott as CEO of Coral Eurobet when he steps down on the completion of the sale in September, says the new ownership is good news for the company: 'This deal provides an ideal platform from which we can exploit the anticipated growth in betting and gaming both in the UK and internationally.'
