Sani Resort launches mindfulness retreats inspired by ancient Greek culture
Sani Resort, the luxury holiday destination in Kassandra in the Greek region of Halkidiki, will introduce a new wellness programme called Sani Elixirium between 12-16 September.
Guests will be encouraged to slow down, reconnect with themselves and engage in transformative practices which have been created by psychologist Dr Tina Grigoriou and her team at retreat company Delphi Awakening.
Dr Grigoriou has drawn on her Greek cultural heritage and academic background in philosophy and psychology to create a series of experiences that weave together ancient Greek wisdom with modern psychological theory.
The programme
Couples are invited to tailored workshops to rekindle or strengthen their bond. One such session is called Sacred love, a journey back to us. During this ritual, guided gratitude exercises and intimate connection practices will leave partners feeling more attuned and appreciative of one another.
Individual guests can take part in workshops that provide opportunities for deep relaxation and self-reflection. One-to-one sound baths and a sunrise ritual inspired by Apollo, the Greek God of the sun, is one example. Another is the Hestia Sunset Ceremony, celebrating the transition from day to night.
Prices for the sessions start at €60 (US$70, £52) per person, per session and they each last 90 minutes.
Spiros Gaitanidis, group spa director for the Sani/Ikos Group told Spa Business exclusively: “At Sani, we invite our guests to embrace the great outdoors of our sanctuary – with 1,000 acres of eco-reserve, coastline and countryside where every moment is an opportunity to renew, reconnect and restore. Through nature, ritual and mindful practices, Sani Elixirium invites people who are looking for a pathway back to balance, serenity and self, surrounded by the timeless beauty of Sani’s natural landscape.”
