The team at Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre has received national recognition with the award of 'WOW What a Team!' at the WOW Awards Gala Ceremony, held recently in London.

The WOW! Awards are a way of raising customer service standards, improving employee engagement and bringing better results to the bottom line. It's a great way of engaging customers, employees and managers.

The WOW Awards is a process that runs right through the year helping to engage customers, motivate employees, inform management, improve service, reduce costs and increase customer retention.

The Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre in Biggleswade, managed by Stevenage Leisure Limited in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council, saw off stiff competition from national companies such as Richer Sounds, MWB Business Exchange and the Durham Constabulary, to land the award.

The judges commented: "Saxon Pool is an amazing story of great teamwork which incorporates members and the local community with passion and spirit."

Ian Morton, SLL's managing director, added: "The teams at all of our centres work hard to deliver the best for their local communities. We are particularly proud of the team at Saxon who have been rightly recognised for their outstanding efforts."
