This innovative hub is a testament to the evolving expectations of travellers, offering a multi-sensory sanctuary that blends mindfulness, fitness, recovery and cultural immersion
– Chiara Giorgi, global brand and event director, Seatrade Cruise Events

Seatrade Cruise Global, the trade event for cruise lines, destinations, suppliers and innovators, has added an experiential zone called the Wellness Oasis to highlight the evolving nature of the industry.

Taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center in the US, between 13-16 April, the new wellness area is divided into six different zones to showcase a holistic and innovative approach to wellness, encouraging cruise operators to think beyond the traditional spa experience.

Chiara Giorgi, global brand and event director, Seatrade Cruise Events, told Spa Business: “The Wellness Oasis is designed as both a destination and a discovery platform: a place to recharge during a high-energy week and a place to experience the new ideas shaping the future of the cruise guest experience.

“This innovative hub is a testament to the evolving expectations of travellers, offering a multi-sensory sanctuary that blends mindfulness, fitness, recovery and cultural immersion,” she added. “It’s a space where attendees can step out of the noise, experience wellness firsthand and envision how these concepts can thrive onboard. The Wellness Oasis is not just a feature of the event; it’s a bold step towards a more connected and holistic wellness ecosystem for the cruise industry."

Designed in collaboration with hospitality software solutions and consultancy company Spark Cooperative, each of the six spaces has been created to represent a unique aspect of wellness. At the time of writing, sponsors are continuing to sign up to deliver a range of programming.

The Sip Bar – This is a space for functional beverages and nutrition. Attendees will experience live tastings, protein blends and mixology with ingredients such as adaptogens.

Future of Beauty – Skincare and spa innovations will be showcased here, including aromatherapy, massages, beauty rituals and spa equipment by sponsor Gharieni.

Culture Corner – Destination-inspired rituals will be on offer in this area, such as traditional tea ceremonies.

The Reset Pod – Mindfulness and mental clarity solutions will be on offer here, including guided meditation, journalling, sound healing and tools for digital detox. Digital mindfulness company Headspace will be sponsoring this zone. Programming will include daily talks by Tracy Braunstein, a consultant from Sleep Tight Solutions.

The Mat – This area is dedicated to fitness and functional vitality. Daily mobility and stretch sessions, training and longevity-focused movement will be on offer, in addition to ocean-inspired workouts.

The Lab – Advanced recovery and health optimisation tools will be available in this pod, with innovations in light therapy, wearable tech for personalised insights and next-generation performance technology.
