Health club franchise Anytime Fitness has launched its second Bristol location - and fourth in the UK - at the Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke as part of ongoing rollout plans.

In May 2010, the operator said it planned to open 50 sites across the UK and Ireland by the end of 2012. Its first UK location was unveiled in Clifton, Bristol, in October 2010.

Anytime Fitness also has locations in London's Kings Cross and Hemel Hempstead, with the latest 5,000sq ft (465sq m) Bradley Stoke club offering a capacity of 1,400 members.

The facility offers changing rooms, offices and finishes in the Fusion design scheme and its equipment has been supplied by Precor, including cardiovascular and strength stations.

Robin Drysdale, franchisee and former tennis professional, said: "The previously unused space at Willow Brook provided the perfect location due to its proximity to a Tesco Superstore and the fact that it was unsuitable for retail or office use.

"It has now been transformed into a vibrant gym that will benefit the whole community and, judging by the membership so far, it is set to be a resounding success."

Anytime Fitness UK franchisor and managing director Andy Thompson added: "The Bradley Stoke site is in a particularly good locality as it provides high visibility, excellent footfall and above all ease of accessibility and convenience to members."
