The Albert Dock in Liverpool has opened a unique exhibition that will allow visitors to destroy the artwork.

The exhibition – named Demolition! – is held at Site, an art space established at the Dock by Liverpool John Moores University’s School of Art and Design in partnership with Liverpool Biennial, and features pieces by fifteen international artists.

Some of the work will invite gallery visitors to interact with them by “harming, adding or removing things” and in other cases, the pieces will play out a process of gradual deterioration.

The exhibition is funded by the Arts Council and has been curated by Mercy, a print, events and exhibitions-based organisation that specialises in providing platforms for emerging artists.

Demolition! will run from today (27 June) till 15 July.
