A new indoor snow centre may be built in the Dutch town of Zuidlaren, according to Snowboard Club UK.
If approved by the government later this month, the new facility at Prins Bernardhoeve will feature three artificial snow slopes measuring 40-metres high and up to 300-metres long.
Former ice skater and cyclist John Franke of the Easy Sport & Events company is behind the venture.
It is estimated that the snow centre must attract at least 165,000 visitors in the first year to be a success.
