Six lucky members of staff at charitable social enterprise GLL attended a special awards ceremony to receive free tickets to the London 2012 Olympics as a reward for their exceptional hard work and commitment.

Hasan Romel, Kylie Mack, Ehsanur Rahman, Suzanne Philpot, Manj Bansal and Fiona Groutage were each given tickets to watch aquatic events at the Games, at the landmark Olympic Aquatics Centre - which GLL will be managing in its legacy phase.

A presentation took place last week at the offices of the London Legacy Development Corporation overlooking the Olympic Park. On arrival the winners were able to enjoy a fantastic view of the park in Olympic mode and saw plans for the next stage - legacy mode.

GLL was able to purchase the tickets and make them available to staff through its partnership with the Amateur Swimming Association. Paul Davies, Head of 'Get People Swimming' at the ASA commented: "GLL should be praised for taking this opportunity to reward employees with this once in a lifetime Olympic experience."

Peter Tudor Director of Venues for LDDC of the London Legacy Development Corporation added: "On the eve of the Olympic Games, the London Legacy Development Corporation was delighted to host GLL to recognise the key role their staff play in the success of their business.

"GLL has a key role in making the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park a success, GLL staff will welcome people back into the Multi-Use Arena next year and the Aquatics Centre in 2014. We are looking forward to working together to deliver the all important legacy for these two Olympic venues."

Andrew Clark, GLL Swimming Manager said: "We are delighted that our long standing partnership with the ASA has enabled us to offer this once in a lifetime opportunity to our staff. While our involvement with the Olympic Aquatics Centre, in the run up to, during and post Games see many more GLL staff become involved in the London Olympic experience."
