To share wellness, we must first live it ourselves

Mexican Operator, Solmar Hotels and Resorts, is hosting a series of events in celebration of Global Wellness Day, including a Temazcal ceremony at its Playa Grande Resort and Spa in Los Cabos.

The not-for-profit movement, Global Wellness Day, will take place on 13 June. Each year, GWD inspires People worldwide through free Health and wellness activities, hosted and supported by leading spa and Hospitality brands and suppliers.

The Playa Grande Spa will welcome up to six guests for the Temazcal ritual. The ceremony involves sitting in a dark dome-shaped lodge that is heated with steam as herb-infused water is poured over volcanic stones.

The spa describes this as an opportunity to balance the mind and body while encouraging spiritual awakening.

Other properties within the Solmar portfolio, also located in Los Cabos, will also provide experiences, and participating guests will receive a 40 per cent discount on spa treatments.

The Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort and Spa will host a yoga session for a maximum of 15 guests and practitioners at Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes Golf and Spa will deliver a sound therapy and guided meditation session.

Ricardo Adame, director of Solmar Spa Collection, told Spa Business: “To share wellness, we must first live it ourselves.

“At our hotels, we believe wellness is not simply a trend or a standalone activity, but a more holistic way of living that embraces nourishment, physical movement, meditation, emotional balance and the mindset with which we approach daily life.

“For this reason, creating meaningful wellness experiences for our guests begins with our own teams. Beyond technical training, we encourage our collaborators to integrate wellness practices into their everyday lives, strengthening both their personal Wellbeing and the authenticity of the experiences they share with guests.”
