Spa and wellness resource SpaFinder has launched a new iPhone application in the US that allows users to find nearby spas and deals as well as a wide range of other functions.

Available free-of-charge, the app also allows users to check the real-time availability of appointments and book a reservation instantly.

Spa-goers can search SpaFinder's database of by a number of filters including price, deals, treatments and online booking availability. Each of the spas on the database includes an overview, treatment menu and customer reviews.

Initially launched in the US, with users able to access more than 1,000 spas, future versions will take in additional regions around the world.

Chief Operating Officer of SpaFinder Sallie Fraenkel, said: "The last thing anyone needs is stress and hassle when trying to book an appointment. Our app makes it possible to not only find the treatment you've been dreaming of, but also to pin down the best deal and book it with the touch of the screen."
