SpaFinder's seventh global trends are unveiled
Spa resource SpaFinder has released its top 10 spa trends to watch in 2010.
Top of the list is prevention becoming the new buzzword of the spa industry, used more frequently by both consumers and spa operators.
Spa-goers in 2010 are predicted to become more familiar with hammams, while increased marketing of spas via social media, such as Facebook, is also anticipated. Linked to this, the spa industry's online presence is expected to rise, including increased adaptation of yield management software as well as more usage of online review and booking websites.
Other trends noted by SpaFinder include the rise of the popular 'hybrid' spa, which combines pure spa elements with others from the fitness and medical industries, as well as discounting and innovative incentives devised to drive incremental revenue and retain customers. Details: spafinder.com
