Spabreaks.com names Simon O'Flynn managing director

Online spa booking service Spabreaks.com has announced the appointment of a new managing director, Simon O'Flynn, as the company celebrates its fifteenth anniversary.
O'Flynn joins the company having worked with leading leisure and travel businesses both in the UK and internationally – including Virgin, British Airways and TUI – as well as .com startups and high-growth operations. He has an extensive background across commercial, product, technology, marketing and digital.
Most recently O'Flynn was a consultant and then director at L+R Hotels.
He joins Spabreaks as the company sets its agenda to continue expanding its portfolio of partner spas and its team.
O'Flynn says: “It’s amazing to join a business that has such a strong directive when it comes to supporting its spa partners and the wider wellbeing industry. Spabreaks has an incredible track record and our goal now is to continue accelerating the growth of the business, adding new partners and further building a phenomenal team.”
O'Flynn's appointment comes at the same time as Gail Wands joins the brand as business development manager. Wands has a background in sales and management with TUI, Crerar Hotels, Barrhead Travel and more recently the Caledonian Sleeper.
She is leading new business development and onboarding new spa and hotel partners throughout the UK and Ireland – in addition to Spabreaks’ existing network of 600 partners – her initial focus will be on the Scottish trade.
Spabreaks founder, Abi Selby, says: "Simon and Gail are arriving at a wonderful moment as we celebrate our fifteenth anniversary. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with such talented and experienced individuals."
Selby was recently appointed as chair of the UK Spa Association – read more here.
