Sport England launches campaign for volunteers
By
Sport England has launched a campaign to increase the number of volunteers in sport following recent research which suggested sport could die without volunteers and the clubs in which they work.
The research, which was jointly undertaken by Sport England and CCPR, also warned that the pressures and difficulties volunteers are facing are a severe threat to the nation’s sporting success.
The campaign will be fully backed by former Olympic swimming silver medalist, Sharron Davies, who will also act as an ambassador to the cause.
