The Sports and Play Construction Association and Sport England invite you to attend this Sports Facility Construction Exhibition and Seminar.

Sports Facility Construction is a special one-day event that comprises a series of informative and educational seminars accompanied by an exhibition featuring the leading constructors of sports facilities, suppliers of related products and services, as well as professional consultants offering expert advice on sports facility projects.

The event includes a special focus on the provision of spaces for PE and sport within the educational sector, in particular the Building Schools for the Future programme.

Seminar Programme

The seminar programme includes these topics:

• National sports facility strategy • Building Schools for the Future - the importance of high quality facilities

• Designing spaces for PE and sport in a 21st century school • Sports project funding

• Design and construction of outdoor synthetic sports facilities • Choosing the right sports surface - current standards

• Design, construction and maintenance of natural turf pitches • Options for indoor sports structures and surfaces

• Outdoor sports floodlighting • London 2012 - sports facilities update

Seminar sessions commence at 9.45am and conclude at 4.30pm.

If you need guidance on your project or facility then the SAPCA Advice Resource Centre is the place to find it. During the event advisers will be available to offer their expertise.

Exhibition The exhibition will feature specialist providers of products and services from across the sports facility construction industry, including:

• Sports facility constructors

• Technical consultants • Product and equipment suppliers

• Specialist contractors • Sports governing bodies and organisations

Who should attend?

All those concerned with the design, procurement, construction and maintenance of sports surfaces and associated works including: architects, specifiers, local authorities, schools, universities, voluntary sports clubs, sports and leisure centres, community projects, playing field management, contractors and sports organisations.

Attendance is free for all delegates.
