Macdonald Hotels is set to open its £20m city centre hotel in Sheffield in November.

The 161-room Macdonald St Paul’s Hotel – which has direct access to the Millennium Square and Winter Garden – will include 31 club rooms and seven luxury suites.

The hotel will offer two restaurants – an Italian and a steak and seafood restaurant.

Conference facilities will include nine meeting rooms, a 450-capacity banqueting suite and a conference centre for up to 650 guests.

A new spa – Vital City Spa and Leisure – will feature an 18m swimming pool, a thermal suite and a Technogym leisure centre.

Macdonald has also undertaken £5m refurbishment projects at both the Norton Grange Hotel in Rochdale and Frimley Hall Hotel & Spa in Surrey.

The group operates more than 60 hotels and resorts throughout the UK and has an annual turnover of around £250m.
