Tate announces exhibition programme for 2014
Major exhibitions by Matisse, Mondrian and Turner are among the highlights the Tate has announced as part of its 2014 programme.
The Tate Modern will host Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs - the most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to this part of the French artist's career, with 120 works.
At the Tate Britain, the first major exhibition to exhibit the late works of JMW Turner will be held.
Major exhibitions will also be held outside London, with the Tate Liverpool hosting abstract works by Piet Mondrian and the Tate St Ives exploring art in the area from the 1940s to 60s, including work by Barbara Hepworth and Constantin Brancusi.
The Tate Modern will also deliver full-career retrospectives of Richard Hamilton, Kazimir Malevich and Sigmar Polke.
