Teddington restaurant and balcony bar open for business
An exclusive riverside balcony bar and private dining room called First Floor at the Wharf Restaurant has opened in Teddington.
Occupying approximately 1,000sq ft, the upstairs balcony area has been transformed into a glamorous bar with leather chairs, retro sofas and occasional tables while the entire upstairs balcony can also be used as a private dining area for groups of up to 80 people.
Downstairs, an extensive new canopy has been added to The Wharf’s main restaurant on the riverside to allow al fresco dining all year round, while three vast mirrors have been added to the bar ceiling.
The Wharf’s proprietor, Ray Neve, said: “We feel we have created something really special on the banks of the River Thames.
“What was once a former boathouse is now a stylish and elegant restaurant and we are looking forward to putting the Wharf firmly on the map.”
