Temporary exhibition opens at Austen centre
A temporary exhibition showcasing how Christmas was celebrated two centuries ago has opened at the Jane Austen Centre in Bath.
The centre is running a special exhibition which gives a glimpse into how the famous writer and her family enjoyed the holiday season, including the types of food eaten, games played and how they decorated their home.
Regency Christmas at the Jane Austen Centre runs between 21 November 2009 and 3 January 2010.
