The Gym Group celebrates Gold status for inclusion

The Gym Group has achieved Gold status from Inclusion In in recognition of its inclusive staff training environment.

This achievement reflects the ongoing commitment from the low-cost operator to foster an inclusive environment, which includes employment initiatives and career development opportunities such as the Inclusive Traineeship Programme and The Gym Group Academy.

The Inclusive Traineeship Programme is a pioneering initiative designed to create meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities and additional needs in the leisure and fitness industry, as well as championing people moving to a career in the industry later in life.

Additionally, aligned with Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month in November, The Gym Group has been putting a focus on men’s mental health with a series of interactive sessions and workshops covering mental and physical wellbeing.

Other industry operators involved with Inclusion In include David Lloyd, whose chief people officer, Juliett Cattermole, was shortlisted in the recent Inclusion In Awards.
