The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) has made a final call seeking candidates to join its Board of Directors.

Open to all TEA members interested in helping to shape the future of the association, the organisation is seeking candidates for its International Board and its four Division Boards - Asia Pacific, Eastern North America, Europe & Middle East and Western North America.

Board Directors elected to a position will serve for three year terms, while Associate Member Representatives will serve for two years.

To be eligible to become a Board Director, employees of standard member companies will be eligible to submit their names to be considered, while employees of associate member companies will be eligible to be considered for non-voting Associate Member Representative positions across all five of the TEA’s Boards.

The final ballot deadline for Board candidates is on Friday 16 September. The TEA recently announced that David Willrich is to succeed Steve Birket as its president following a unanimous decision by the body’s board for him to lead the organisation.

Willrich – managing director of UK-based AV and multimedia specialists DJ Willrich – will officially take up his position at the IAAPA Expo in November. Willrich has acted in an official capacity for the TEA for eight years, first as a member of the TEA Europe and Middle Eastern Division (EME) Board, then as TEA EME president. He also serves as a member of the TEA International Board and executive committee.
