Aquaterra Leisure has successfully retained its Social Enterprise Mark status until 2013. Businesses displaying this prestigious Mark provide customers with an assurance that they are driven by social and/or environmental objectives to benefit individuals and the planet.

Social enterprises are making a difference but few people know of their existence and the key benefits they provide.  The Social Enterprise Mark helps people to identify them, understand them and feel reassured.

They can make the world a better place to live in a wide variety of ways including training people to help them get back into employment, provide medical and social care, and help young people be fostered in a family environment.  But what they all have in common is their mission to be in business purely to use their profits to build a better society and protect the environment.

Antony Kildare, Chief Executive of Aquaterra Leisure said: "I'm delighted we have retained the prestigious Social Enterprise Mark as it provides a fantastic platform to showcase Aquaterra Leisure's core values, aims and aspirations. We will continue to provide an integral range of activities and services through our leisure facilities for new and existing customers."
