Waterside Arts Centre in Sale, Greater Manchester, has secured £56,000 from Arts Council England towards a revamp of its facilities taking place this month (August).
The funding award will enable the Chambers space at the venue to be developed into a new multi-purpose performance area hosting live music, comedy and theatre events.
Trafford Council's Jonathan Coupe said: "This will enable significant improvements to be made at the centre, boosting the visitor experience and building Waterside's profile."
