Travel Trade Britain cancelled for 2010
Exhibition organiser Expo Management has cancelled next year's Travel Trade Britain show, which was scheduled to be held at the NEC Birmingham on 2-3 March 2010.
In a statement, the company said the decision was part of its plans to lend its support to the Best of Britain & Ireland (BOBI) 2010 show, scheduled for 17-20 March 2010 at London's Olympia.
Mark Griffin, Expo Management's managing director, said: "Withdrawing TTB will allow everyone to galvanise efforts behind one national event and I would like to offer my sincere thanks to each and every exhibitor, visitor and sponsor who made TTB 2009 possible.
"Making this announcement now means that they can adjust their plans for next year with minimal inconvenience and I encourage them all to commit to Best of Britain & Ireland in 2010."
The first ever BOBI exhibition and conference was held at the ExCel in London on 28-29 March. The show is supported by VisitBritain and all the regional tourism boards.
