Universal reveals Madagascar attraction details
Universal Parks & Resorts has unveiled further details of the attractions which will form part of the Universal Studios Singapore theme park on the island of Sentosa.
One of the attractions at the park, which is scheduled to open in early 2010, will be an interactive, indoor boat ride, themed according to DreamWorks Animation's blockbuster movie Madagascar.
The ride will be the first attraction based on the Madagascar franchise and will bring the movie's characters into life using animated figures, digital projection, sound effects and moving show-action spectaculars.
Tom Williams, Chairman and CEO, Universal Parks & Resorts, said: "We are proud to announce the world-first Madagascar attraction in collaboration with DreamWorks Animation that will debut at Resorts World Sentosa's Universal Studios Singapore.
"These iconic animated characters promise to be another crown jewel in our collection of world-class rides and shows based on blockbuster movies that are loved by the entire family."
When it opens in early 2010, the 49-acre, US$4.2bn (£2.66bn, €2.88) Universal Studios Singapore will include the world's largest Marine Life Park, six hotels and a destination spa.
