Universal to launch first reality TV attraction
Universal Parks & Resorts is to launch the first theme park attraction based on a TV reality show when Fear Factor Live opens to the public at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios in Hollywood later this year.
Based on the award-winning NBC show, the attraction will pit guests at the park against each other in a series of extreme stunts.
The attraction has been developed with help from Fear Factor’s creators and is one of the first to build on the merger of NBC and Universal Studios last year.
Tom Williams, chief executive of Universal Parks & Resorts, said: “Creating an extreme experience such as Fear Factor Live is perfect for us – and a perfect way to fit our brand within the NBC brand.”
