A new urban wellness and longevity clinic called BluSonil has opened in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the US, to provide regular spa services inspired by global longevity hotspots and resorts.

The founders, Colleen and Brett Lewis, explained the concept to Spa Business: “There are extraordinary destination wellness resorts, places like Canyon Ranch, Miraval and Clinique La Prairie, where people go for one or two immersive weeks a year to reset, recalibrate, and refocus on their health. Those experiences are powerful, but they’re episodic by nature.

“We saw a gap in what happens during the other 50 weeks of the year. BluSonil was created to be that bridge – bringing the intention, sophistication and clinical integrity of a destination wellness retreat into an ongoing, local, highly personalised experience,” added Colleen Lewis. “It’s not about a once-a-year transformation; it’s about sustainable, cumulative progress woven into everyday life.”

“BluSonil was born from the belief that true transformation happens when your unique biology, lifestyle and outward vitality and radiance are treated as one, creating results that are lasting, intentional and deeply personal,” said Brett Lewis.

“Longevity, wellness and aesthetics are currently being treated as separate conversations, when in reality, they’re deeply connected. People want to age well – not just look younger or feel better in isolation. We’ve created a single, thoughtful ecosystem rather than disconnected, siloed treatments.

Facilities

Design and architecture for the Scottsdale clinic is by immersive wellbeing design studio Mendil + Meyer

Architect Ben Meyer, said: "Inspired by the brand’s purpose to nurture vitality, radiance and longevity, the design draws from the world’s healthiest communities, translating those influences into an environment that feels calm, uplifting and timeless."

Anissa Mendil, interior designer at Mendil + Meyer, said: "The aesthetic blends Japanese minimalism with contemporary comfort, pairing organic textures and warm neutrals with soft ceramics and sculptural forms. Every detail, from the tactile materials to the flow of natural light – was considered to create a setting that is both refined and welcoming."

The location features four treatment rooms for hands-on therapies such as facials by HydraFacial, a Blue Zone-inspired facial, chemical peels, micro-needling, dermaplaning and various aesthetics procedures. Aesthetic technologies are by SkinPen, Visia for skin analysis and Sciton for skin texture and pigmentation improvement.

The longevity wellness technologies on offer include:

  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy by OneHyperbarics
  • Red light therapy by LightStim
  • A cold laser therapy body contouring system by Erchonia
  • Lymphatic drainage compression therapy by BallancerPro
  • Whole-body cryotherapy by Cryobuilt
  • Sauna by Symmetry Sauna
  • Body composition testing by InBody

The clinic also offers IV drips, vitamin shots, hormone replacement therapy and peptides, as well as GLP-1s.

The clinic offers a membership model, but all services are also available à la carte for non-members.

A series of curated circuits for different price points enable guests to spend between three and five hours in a single visit, experiencing various modalities.

Expansion

The founders added that future clinics have been part of their plan from the start: “From the earliest stages, BluSonil was designed with scalability in mind and national (and international) expansion was always part of our long-term vision,” said Colleen Lewis. “Even before opening our Scottsdale Quarter location, we have been intentional about building the brand, operating model, and experience to set the standard for future locations and to support thoughtful expansion over time.”

The company is not pursuing a franchising model, but it will seek to open between 15-20 company-owned locations over the next five years.

“At this stage, we believe direct ownership is essential to maintaining clinical integrity, operational excellence and the high-touch experience that defines the brand,” said Brett Lewis.

“Mendil + Meyer will continue as our design and architecture partner as we expand, ensuring continuity of vision, experience and design integrity across future locations,” he added.

“There has been strong interest from the real estate community, and we are also in preliminary conversations with a national department store about a BluSonil within their brand,” he continued. “That said, our focus remains on finding the right strategic fit from a market and centre perspective, while ensuring the location and co-adjacencies support the BluSonil vision.”
