Watford FC raises £5m on AIM flotation

Shares in Watford Leisure, the holding company of Watford football club finished up 25 per cent on their first day of trading on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) last Thursday.
The shares, which closed at 1.25 pence, increased the value of the company by almost £5m, making it worth around £25m.
The £4.7m raised by the flotation will be used to purchase new players and secure the freehold of its stadium.
