It is exciting to be involved in the creation of ISPAL, the new professional Institute for Sport, Parks and Leisure.

The institute will raise the profile of the sector and clearly demonstrate to key partners and agencies, including the government and devolved administrations, the very high level of skills, expertise, knowledge and understanding that exists within our sector.

We have an excellent network of professionals to whom we pledge a proactive external as well as internal focus.

ISPAL will be member-led and will focus on members’ needs, especially in relation to continuous professional development.

It will be at the forefront of shaping policy and will be built upon a central core with a strong regional and home nation structure.
