Wenlock Hall completes face lift
The Wenlock Sports Hall at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire has completed a £45,000 face lift.
New lockers have been installed in the refurbished changing rooms, while the sports hall – home of the Great Britain wheelchair basketball team – was re-sanded and re-marked.
The two-month redevelopment also included the re-carpeting of the internal areas to improve aesthetics.
Lee Moore, the centre’s business manager, said: “The improved hall now has the capacity to serve a number of different and diverse groups, from local amateur sporting clubs to national organisations.
The improvements to Wenlock Hall – which opened in April 1986 – are a part of an ongoing investment programme at the National Sports Centre.
