Whyteleafe play area contractor appointed
SMP Playgrounds has been chosen by Tandridge District Council (TDC) to design and build a new play area at Whyteleafe recreation ground on Hillbury Road.
The existing play facility, which was first opened in 1984, will undergo a £100,000 refurbishment led by the Surrey-based group after its designs received the support of local residents. Tony Elias, chair of TDC's community services committee, said: "We received lots of constructive comments about the designs and they will help create a play area which reflects what the community wants."
