Wokingham Borough Council unveils Earley's new parkour facility
Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) has officially opened a new outdoor parkour facility at Sol Joel Park in Earley, Berkshire, following an £85,000 investment.
The borough council has worked with Earley Town Council to provide the new facility, with the funding provided through Section 106 contributions specifically for play areas.
Earley's new parkour facility is designed to mimic an urban landscape and features a variety of objects commonly found in city environments for free-runners to make use of.
WBC executive member for environment Angus Ross said: "It will give young people, who are perhaps too old for conventional parks and playgrounds, something to try out."
