Work completed on Scottish snowsports centre
Midlothian Snowsports Centre near Edinburgh, Scotland has reopened following a £600,000 redevelopment.
Improvements at the centre include a new 210-metre slope, 60m of new nursery slopes and the installation of new lift systems.
The works on the facility, which is owned by Midlothian Council, were funded by sportscotland and the Boyd Anderson Trust.
Stewart Harris, sportscotland's chief executive, said: "The improvements will encourage even more people onto the slopes in the coming months."
"It is vital that we maximise the opportunities for people to become involved in sport and this investment shows our commitment to help develop and support a world-class sporting system at all levels, which will inspire future generations to be the best they can be."
