Work starts on £12m Birmingham scheme
Sanguine Hospitality has confirmed the start of construction work on a £12m flagship hotel and spa development in the centre of Birmingham.
Denizen Construction has moved on site at The Cube, which will boast a 52-bedroom Hotel Indigo; a 300-seat Marco Pierre White restaurant; and the Club and Spa. Facilities at the fifth floor Club and Spa will include an indoor swimming pool; a sauna and steamrooms; 10 treatment rooms; and a hydrotherapy pool.
A dry flotation tank and a fitness suite will also be available at the Club and Spa, which will be open to members and hotel guests. Hotel Indigo will occupy the 23rd and 24th floors of The Cube and the 1,319sq m (14,198sq ft) Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill will be located on the 26th floor.
Sanguine Hospitality managing director Nick Taplin said: "With Marco Pierre White, Hotel Indigo and the Club & Spa we are bringing something new and unique to the city. "The Cube offers an excellent location, with a real sense of place in the heart of the city and situated perfectly to welcome both business and leisure guests."
