Wycombe Air Park stadium plans move forward
Wycombe District Council (WDC) has backed the Wycombe Air Park site as the preferred location for a new community stadium development.
Wycombe Sports Development Limited has welcomed the local authority's decision, which follows public support for the scheme to be located at the Booker site. It is proposed that the stadium will provide a new home for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club and London Wasps rugby union team, as well as hosting a sports village.
WDSL chief executive Mike Brooks said: "Booker is the only site where we can deliver our vision for a new stadium and sports village for Wycombe and for the clubs. "Over the coming months we will be working hard on designs, further investigative work and business plans to advance the case for Booker."
