Plans to open an ice rink in London's Marble Arch have been agreed in principal by Westminster Council. The proposed ice rink would be located on the eastern island of the Marble Arch roundabout operating between November and January for five years. Big enough for 200 skaters, the rink would hold up to 10 sessions a day. While approved in principal, the application has been deferred while such issues as crime prevention and traffic safety are resolved.
