Zaragoza to host International Expo 2008
Zaragoza, the capital of Spanish region Aragon, has been nominated to be the venue for the International Exhibition 2008.
The city competed against Trieste in Italy and Thessaloniki in Greece to be the host city.
It is one of Spain’s biggest cities, stretching around both sides of the country’s largest river, the Ebro and contains the Basilica del Pila, one of the main places of worship of the Virgin Mary in Spain. Details: www.zaragozaexpo2008.es
