For us, this isn't about simply growing our business. It's about building genuine partnerships with spas that share our values

Phytomer, the French marine biotech skincare company, is relaunching its UK and Irish subsidiary business as the brand plans a new chapter of growth in the territory.

The third-generation family-run company, which is led by Tristan Lagarde and Mathilde Gédouin-Lagarde, already has a presence in the UK and Ireland at locations including Old Course Hotel St Andrews, Government House, Stobo Castle and the Royal Yacht Club. The relaunch of Phytomer UK and Ireland, however, will enable the pair to pursue a strategy of long-term investment in this particular spa market, which it sees as one of the world’s most respected.

Tristan Lagarde said: “For us, this isn't about simply growing our business. It's about building genuine partnerships with spas that share our values. We believe the best relationships are built over time, through trust, shared ambition and supporting each other to create exceptional guest experiences. That's the future we want to build together in the UK and Ireland.”

Strategic business consultants Clair Davidson and Sam Humby Frost will lead this new push in the UK and Ireland. They will build new partnerships, support spa operators and strengthen existing relationships. Fiona Peerless will continue in her role as managing director.

Founded in Saint-Malo, in Brittany, in 1972, the parent company Phytomer has partnerships in more than 80 countries and more than 10,000 spas worldwide.

The company is looking to partner with spas that share its values, such as sustainability – the firm has EcoVadis Platinum status, which is a sustainability accolade awarded to the top one per cent of companies assessed globally.
