£12m Next Generation Leicester site to open
A new, £12m Next Generation Club at Carlton Park, Leicester, UK, will open on 1 July.
The club comprises a large gym, an aerobics studio and indoor and outdoor swimming pool with a sauna and a steamroom.
The club also has a Celsius spa, a total of 12 tennis courts, both inside and out, three squash courts and a basketball court.
The club will cater for up to 5,000 new members and has created more than 100 jobs in the local area.
General manager, Darren Grassby, said: “We are very excited to be officially opening the Leicester club. Our extensive facilities are perfect for serious athletes and first-time gym goers alike so, we can personalise any fitness programme for our members, whatever their sport.”
Property firm London & Regional (L&R) acquired Next Generation clubs in May for £101.7m (US$191.3m) in cash. L&R is expected to continue to fund the development of a further four health and fitness sites in the pipeline. Details: www.nextgenerationclubs.co.uk
