The £23m Cardiff International Pool is set to open in early January 2008.
The complex will include a 50m, ten-lane pool able to stage high-profile international competitions as well as a leisure pool with a beach area, lazy river, plunge pool, four water slides and a play structure.
The Expressions Health and Fitness club will include a gym, dance studio and health suite.
Simon Hughes, the newly appointed general manager, said: “Cardiff’s International Pool will have something for everyone and is going to be one of the best venues of its kind in the UK.”
Parkwood Leisure will operate the facility.
