£50m development planned for Chesterfield's Northern Gateway
Image: The scheme will include leisure amenities
A cinema and a hotel are among plans for Chesterfield's £50m Northern Gateway scheme, which have been put on show by the local authority and Wilson Bowden Developments.
The area surrounding the Donut roundabout will be transformed under the proposals, with commercial floorspace, an outdoor performance area and restaurants also to be created.
Chesterfield Borough Council leader John Burrows said: "The Northern Gateway is going to be one of the biggest developments we've had in Chesterfield for many years."
Wilson Bowden Developments was selected as the council's preferred partner following a tender process involving eight companies.
