Who is this course for?

The Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training is aimed at pre-qualified Level 2 fitness instructors who want to start working with their own client base.

Our Level 2 and Level 3 course packages are designed for those wanting to work within the fitness industry and want to get both qualifications in one go.

What do I need to enrol?

In order for someone to be able to enrol for our Level 3 Personal Trainer Certificate, they would need an accredited Level 2 Fitness Instructor certification.

We can also provide these courses for those who are yet to qualify as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor or you can choose to study for these qualifications combined as part of our comprehensive and hands-on course package.

Previous academic qualifications are not necessary but we do require a good command of English (reading and writing), good communication skills and a fairly reasonable level of physical fitness.

Last but definitely not least, we do want our students to be dedicated and willing to learn and develop!

Payment options

If you are not able to pay the whole sum all at once, you can choose to pay in 12 monthly instalments with a 0% interest. We would just need an initial 10% deposit of the total course cost.

British Weight Lifting are delighted to announce the launch of their Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Weight Training.

The Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Weight Training is for Instructors/Personal Trainers who have some experience of delivering independent sessions to groups or individuals. The certificate enables instructors to independently create, deliver and reflect on a yearlong programme whilst monitoring and adapting sessions/plans as required.

Parts of the course are made up of practical activities allowing instructors the opportunity to experience delivering and participating within instructing sessions.

What are the requirements to go on the course?

Learners are required to:
- Have completed one of the following qualifications: Level 2 Award in Instructing Weight Lifting, a Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification or equivalent as recognised by BWL
- Be at least 18 years of age on the first day of the course
- Have some experience of the lifts and weight training
- Be able to communicate effectively in English

How is the qualification delivered?

The TQUK Level 3 Instructing Weight Training will be delivered by an accredited British Weight Lifting tutor. The course will be delivered over 2 days attendance on a course as well as completion of the e-learning modules, inclusive of assessments.

Eligibility

Overview

The Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy is Discovery Learning’s newest qualification, available both as a stand-alone course as well as part of a bundle package with the Level 3 Sports Massage course.

The Level 4 Sports Massage qualification will aim to equip learners with the necessary knowledge, techniques and skill set to treat and/or seek to correct common patterns of dysfunction and certain pre-diagnosed injuries.

Learners will be able to understand the anatomy and physiology of the major joints of the body, understand treatments, be able to devise a plan, apply soft tissue techniques in sports massage treatments and many more.

This is a full-time course, which requires Monday - Friday attendance (9am - 5pm)

National Pool Plant Operator Certificate

The National Pool Plant Operator Certificate is our primary course. It covers everything you need to effectively maintain a swimming pool, spa or water feature.

This course is approved by the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG). This means that our training is of the highest standard, meeting PWTAG guidelines which are widely viewed as best practice.

You will learn about circulation, filtration, disinfection, pH correction and heating of pool water. You will also learn how to maintain water which is safe and pleasant to swim in, how to correctly test pool water and understand how to restore it to ideal conditions.

The National Pool Plant Operator Certificate lasts for three years.

Level: Intermediate – although no prior certificate is needed to attend the course, beginners are advised to complete the National Pool Plant Foundation Certificate first

Assessment: Multiple choice test and a work based assignment
Certification: The National Pool Plant Operators Certificate. This is awarded by IQL UK – the body for The Royal Life Saving Society – for three years

What qualifications will I receive?

Once you complete your gym instructor course, you will be awarded a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing – Gym Based Exercises.
