£10.5m Pontypridd regeneration underway
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council (RCT) has announced that work has commenced on a major £10.5m transformation of Pontypridd town centre.
Welsh Assembly Government and Targeting Match Fund investment is helping to finance the scheme, along with council and private sector contributions. Work will include a refurbishment of the town's public realm in order to create a 'vibrant' image of Pontypridd for both residents and visitors.
RCT leader Russell Roberts said: "The physical enhancement of Pontypridd town centre should increase confidence in the town, and the number of visitors."
