£1.2m for creative opportunities in Scotland
Creative Scotland has announced an investment of more than £1.2m to help people enjoy or take part in creative activities through a range of new First in a Lifetime opportunities.
A total of 10 projects stretching from the Shetland Islands to Dumfries will receive support as part of efforts to provide "unique inspirational experiences" across the country.
Among the schemes to receive funding is the nationwide Northern Lights initiative, which is to allow members of the public to produce films about "their Scotland".
Creative Scotland chief executive Andrew Dixon said: "The First in a Lifetime programme will offer many more people the opportunity to see, explore and enjoy a rich cultural life."
