IHG Bangkok hotel reopens after revamp
The THB890m (£16.1m, US$25.8m, 18.5m euro) refurbishment of the 10-year-old InterContinential Bangkok hotel in Thailand, at the core of the city's commercial and business district, is now complete.
Operated by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the property now boasts a reconfigured glass-covered entrance, 381 refurbished guest rooms and upgrades to the convention centre, spa and fitness facilities. The hotel's lobby now features a Concierge Lounge, a revamped Balcony Lounge featuring a cigar bar and a new Italian restaurant called the Grossi Trattoria and Wine Bar. Also accompanying the existing Summer Palace and Fireplace Grill restaurants is a relocated deli and a new gourmet chocolate and confectionary shop to allow visitors to watch the chocolate making process.
